The iTunes informational page regarding the "Season Pass" option explained (and still explains, as of the date of the filing of this Complaint) that "purchasing a Season Pass gets you every episode in that season and at a better price than if you were to purchase it one at a time.
Therefore, customers who purchased a "Breaking Bad: Season 5" Season Pass from iTunes reasonably believed that they would receive access to all 16 episodes of Season 5, as announced and promoted by AMC, the network responsible for producing and airing the program on "live" TV, just as Apple had promised.

明らかに利用者が悪いということだな。まず持ち方を変えてみるべき。

再定義もなにも、そもそも「シーズン」という括り自体に明確な定義がなされていない。
扱う側次第。
あえて定義するなら「一定期間に放送されたもの」か。
分割して放送されるなら、それぞれを別に扱ってもなにも不思議じゃない。
元々分かれていたのをまとめて放送してそれを1シーズンとして扱った例もあるみたいだし。(Appleの話じゃないよ)
Wikipediaの「シーズン」のページにあるけど『THE TRANSFORMERS』とかそうらしいね。

マンガで言えば、巻数不定で内容で分けられたりするような。
「アニメ版ドラゴンボールを全話見られるチケット」を買ったら「『ドラゴンボールZ』は対象ではありません」的な。

「Season」の括りに明確な定義がないとは言え、商品に「Season」という単語が使われているんだよね。
この「Season Pass」販売当初は、
放送元のAMCからは「Season 5は16エピソード」とアナウンスされていて、
Appleの「Season Pass」は「そのSeasonのすべてのエピソードが見られる権利」と商品説明されていた。
なので、購入者は「Seasonの16エピソードすべてが見られる権利」と思って「Season Pass」を購入した。
その後、AMCはSeasonを二つに分けて同じSeasonとして放送することになったが、
その分割をAppleは独自に別の「Season」と定義して、
前売りしていた「Season Pass」では前半の8エピソードだけしか見られませんよ、と言ったようで。
この経緯だけを見るとさすがに狡いなあとは思う。

いや、Appleがシーズンパスをどのように説明してたのかは知らないけども、
TUAWの記事をざっと見た限りだと、Noam Lazebnik氏の主張として
例えAppleが『Season Pass』のページで8話分だと説明していたとしても、
ユーザは『そのSeasonの全話』見れると思うに決まってるだろ!
みたいに書かれてもいるので、
たぶん、Apple側は8話分閲覧権としてSeason Passを設定していて、
Lazebnik氏が16話見れると勘違いしたんだけなんじゃないかと思う。
でも、その上で、1シーズン16話のドラマについて、
8話しか見れないものを『Season Pass』って言って売るのは、
商品内容を誤解させて客を騙してる! って虚偽広告として訴えた。
みたいな感じじゃないかな?

とあるので、主観はともかく
